What is your role? 

As a Back-end Engineer for Eleventh Hour Games, you'll be responsible for a wide range of tasks across many parts of Last Epoch's back-end services. This includes new feature development, debugging, and optimization for player data, chat and other key online services. You will be encouraged to use your experience and expertise to provide innovative solutions and drive best practices across the back-end team. The perfect candidate has excellent communication skills, and autonomy as you will be working with a fully remote team.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of developing/supporting online services, 2+ years within a gaming studio role 
  • Demonstrable command of C# or similar language
  • Experience with cloud providers (Azure specifically a plus)
  • Experience working on a live service with a regular release cadence
  • Experience in back-end service development for online games

Pluses:

  • Familiarity with multiplayer online games and ARPGs in particular
  • Experience with Unity

Responsibilities:

  • Develop online game features such as in-game economy, leaderboards, and matchmaking
  • Diagnose and fix issues in live game services
  • Deploy multiple backend services
  • Expectation of weekly on-call rotation for emergency service notifications (Pager Duty)
