Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Back-end Engineer (Python) to join a high-impact engineering team. In this role, you will collaborate across teams to build and enhance scalable products, contribute to architectural decisions, and act as a technical partner to product stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about backend development, clean architecture, and building reliable, high-performance systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop new products and features using modern backend technologies

• Collaborate closely with QA to ensure product quality through test-driven development (TDD)

• Contribute to planning, design, and requirement discussions within your scrum team

• Review code, participate in pair programming, and promote best practices

• Drive architectural decisions and propose solutions for complex technical challenges

• Improve performance, scalability, and maintainability of existing systems

Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

• 7+ years of professional software development experience, including 2+ years with Python

• Strong experience with Python frameworks such as Flask or FastAPI

• Hands-on experience with OpenAPI and SQLAlchemy

• Solid knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, Redshift, etc.)

• Experience designing and building scalable APIs and systems

• Strong refactoring and code quality practices

• Experience working in Linux/Unix environments

• Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

• Experience mentoring other engineers
