Senior Associate, UMA Solutions

Portfolio Management is responsible for the daily oversight and management of Dimensional’s portfolios and implements our investment philosophy across all our investment solutions. Portfolio Management interacts and collaborates closely with several departments including Trading, Research, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and the Global Client Group to ensure a superior investment experience for our clients. The Portfolio Management team ensures that Dimensional’s portfolios deliver consistent and efficient exposure to the dimensions of higher expected returns, as identified by the greatest minds in modern financial economics.

The Senior Associate will play a critical role servicing and enhancing Dimensional’s expanded unified managed account (UMA) offering within the UMA Solutions team.  The Senior Associate will develop expertise in investment strategies and tax management, portfolio analysis, technology, and operations to deliver excellent client service.  The position will also develop familiarity with Dimensional’s investment philosophy and implementation process to support clients in the context of our overall relationship.

Responsibilities:

·        Provide day-to-day client service including new account onboarding, live account service, portfolio accounting and custody support.

·        Help advisors understand their options for solving client investment challenges, from transitioning existing client portfolios to evaluating portfolio change alternatives.

·        Contribute to SMA service delivery by identifying process improvement opportunities.

·        Anticipate, identify, and resolve SMA operational issues.

·        Develop solution offering knowledge to advocate for Dimensional’s investment process as implemented in SMAs.

Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or related field required.

·        Experience in a client service function, excellent critical thinking and written communication skills; ability to accurately present detailed information to clients and escalate issues.

·        Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and impact and influence others across the organization to grow an innovative, fast-growing business with high visibility.

·        Detail-oriented, able to prioritize multiple assignments in fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.

·        MS Excel skills preferred.

·        Series 7 required. Must obtain within first 6 months as a condition of employment.
