We are looking for a Senior Architect & Engagement Lead to join our Guidewire Professional Services Team, which combines expertise in insurance with software implementation skills to develop new solutions common across customers adopting Guidewire Cloud Platform.In this role, you will collaborate with the wider Guidewire ecosystem to drive process improvements and create future-proof solutions aligned with industry trends. You will be a trusted advisor, shaping business models while mentoring and guiding internal teams to develop solutions targeted for AMER bureau based commercial lines of business. Your understanding and prior experience in working with these lines of business to create market ready updatable solutions will be critical to success in this role. You will have a considerable impact in shaping the future to define and evolve the USBC reference architecture, release processes, and operating model so teams can configure, install, and maintain bureau content reliably across customers.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Act as senior technical advisor across one or more programs; own executive‑level communication, QBR/MBR cadence, and escalation management to drive measurable outcomes and CSAT.
Shape statements of work, change control, scope/prioritization trade‑offs, and value alignment from inception through go‑live and run.
Partner with Sales/Pre‑Sales on solutioning and estimates for bureau content offerings; guide demos and roadmaps that reflect product/value alignment.
Own the Admitted lines solution target architecture and standards for incorporating bureau circular updates (rates, rules, forms) into installable and maintainable packages.
Lead and assist as required in writing, testing, and maintaining high-quality code and configurations for enterprise-level applications. Develop application features ensuring that they are fully functional, tested, and meet the acceptance criteria
Define installation playbooks, golden paths, and acceptance criteria; industrialize packaging/versioning, environment strategy, and rollback/recovery for repeatable delivery.
Establish a release calendar and automation (diff, regression, performance, security) to sustain “evergreen” bureau alignment with clear SLAs.
Lead technical governance (architecture reviews, change advisory, readiness gates) and drive issue/risk management across tracks, partners, and vendors.
Institutionalize Guidewire methodology, best practices, and quality controls (code review, CI/CD, test strategy, observability) across the USBC portfolio.
Guide platform modernization decisions (cloud, security, performance, cost) and own NFRs across the solution lifecycle.
Define data contracts and champion data governance for core entities (Policy, Claim, Customer, Asset, Partner), including MDM patterns common to content updates.
Oversee integrations required for bureau content adoption and operational telemetry; ensure durable designs and supportability.
Develop and manage the partner/vendor ecosystem; standardize interfaces, RACI, and success measures for joint delivery.
Diagnose and resolve critical system issues, ensuring performance, security, and efficiency improvements.
Produce comprehensive technical documentation, roadmaps, and architecture blueprints for future reference and scalability.
Translate business objectives into release scope and measurable value; ensure alignment with product roadmaps and customer strategic goals.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers and collaborate with stakeholders, including IT leadership and business teams, to deliver optimal solutions
Key Skills
Fluent business level English is essential
Strong background and consultation experience in US bureau commercial insurance related to underwriting, process reengineering, and operations.
Deep experience in working with US Bureau circular content to apply appropriate filings for rates, rules, and forms guidance into software solutions
Proven track record of contributing in large-scale software implementation programs, with expertise in translating complex business requirements into detailed functional specifications.
CI/CD practices using tools like TeamCity or Jenkins to automate the deployment process. Version control using Git to manage code changes and collaboration.
Create clear documentation for features and customizations including providing mentorship and training to technical teams to ensure adoption of commercial lines related solutions.
Preferred Skills
Languages: Additional language skills are highly valued for working in global teams.
Transformational Leadership: Strong ability to consult with clients and lead transformation initiatives, aligning business objectives with innovative solutions using the Guidewire Cloud Platform.
Testing and Validation: Support quality assurance efforts by leading user acceptance testing strategy and execution, particularly for microservices and AI-driven applications.
Enhanced Automation: Developing scripts for automation of critical tasks that are aligned to the insurance lifecycle with a view to reducing manual intervention, increasing operational efficiency, and enhancing accuracy in daily operations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
12–15+ years in P&C insurance or enterprise software with 5+ years leading large, distributed delivery teams and complex programs
Deep knowledge of the insurance value chain, particularly in front-office and mid-office processes.
Deep knowledge of the insurance regulatory environment and the operational needs of carriers.
Deep knowledge of US Bureau content related to commercial lines and interpretation of related circulars.
Hands‑on architecture background with Guidewire Cloud Platform and/or comparable core‑insurance platforms; strong integration and data design experience.
Expertise in leading implementation projects and providing innovative, customer-centric solutions.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work across technical and business teams.
