As an AR Unclaimed Property Senior Consultant, you will play a critical role in identifying and quantifying potential unclaimed property exposure, assisting with audits, and developing and implementing unclaimed property policies and procedures. Your exceptional analytical and communication skills will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and prompt resolution, strengthening client relationships, and optimizing the overall financial health of our organization.
* What you'll do:
* Serve as project manager for complex unclaimed property matters - managing tasks and deadlines.
* Engage in clear and professional communication with customers and stakeholders
* Continuously analyze and reconcile Accounts Receivable records and deliverables. Suggest and implement improvements to streamline workflows and enhance productivity
* Investigate transactions and history to determine if selected transactions represent unclaimed property
* Prepare professional client-ready reports
* Research company financial information and unclaimed property issues
* Assist in negotiating unclaimed property settlements, audit research and requests
* Provide mentorship and support to junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to improve the overall performance of the External Collections and recovery team
* Draft responses to inquiries and requests from opposing parties
* Stay up to date on the latest unclaimed property laws and regulations
* Maintain comprehensive records of all unclaimed property activities, communications, and resolutions. Generate regular reports on trends, aging, and resolution status for management review
* Validate appropriate data from internal and third-party systems and ensure an appropriate course of action is being pursued
* Review all claim requests for validity of claim and adequacy of supporting documentation in identifying owners or other legal entitlement
* Communicate and correspond to holders and claimants regarding questions or guidance requested
* Track client requests, submissions and assist with record review during yearly due diligence process
* Lead unapplied cash or open credit program to improve timeliness and accuracy of the open cash application and reduction of the length of time of open items on the customer accounts
* Interface with finance/accounting on overall portfolio health of the open cash liabilities for future reporting periods
* What we expect of you:
* Experience with all aspects of unclaimed property compliance, as well as strong analytical and communication skills.
* Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related financial field and 3 years of relevant AR, Credit, Accounting or Finance experience OR 7 years of relevant AR, Credit, Accounting or Finance experience OR 7 years of CDW experience
* Proven experience in an Unclaimed Property role, preferably with Fortune 200 organization
* Highly collaborative with the ability to bring diverse groups and stakeholders together driving transformation, execution, and results
* Detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
* Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with customers and internal stakeholders.
* Provide mentorship and support to junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to improve the overall performance of the External Collections and recovery team
