Job Description

Join our team and help develop a premier Android native app used by millions of people. We take pride not only in our feature-rich products and stable mobile applications but also in encouraging a development team dedicated to quality and meeting deliverables. Reporting to the Senior Software Engineering Manager, you will have lots of opportunities to grow both technically and professionally. You Will

  • Contribute to the development of Experian's flagship Android native application.
  • Implement new features and enhance existing ones based on our requirements.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Ensure code quality through automated testing and continuous integration.
  • Work with cross-functional teams.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Resolve performance and scalability issues.
  • Debug and troubleshoot application issues reported by users or discovered through testing.
  • Ensure the application meets Google's design principles and interface guidelines.
  • Collaborate with designers to create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Android development trends and technologies.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of code, APIs, and development processes.
  • Provide clear technical documentation for future reference

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Android app development.
  • Experience building Android applications.
  • You are proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
  • Experience with Android frameworks such as Jetpack Compose and XML.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to backend services.
  • Knowledge of Google's design principles and interface guidelines.
  • Experience with version control systems like GitHub.
  • Proficiency in Android Studio and other development tools.
  • Experience with automated testing and continuous integration.
  • You have had experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • You are familiar with mobile app security best practices.
  • You have a knowledge of performance optimization techniques for Android apps.
