About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an Executive Director of Deal Pricing to support our Merchant Services business. In this highly visible role, you'll sit at the intersection of Merchant, sales, and strategy, influencing pricing decisions that directly impact client relationships, profitability, and risk. You'll partner closely with Merchant Services Sales and Relationship Managers, providing trusted guidance and data-driven recommendations on complex customer pricing decisions-always aligned with profitability and risk standards.
Pricing decisions are grounded in thoughtful analysis of client business dynamics such as sales volume, transaction patterns, seasonality, and cost structures, allowing you to help balance client needs with strong financial outcomes.

Wells Fargo is seeking an Executive Director of Deal Pricing to support our Merchant Services business. In this highly visible role, you'll sit at the intersection of Merchant, sales, and strategy, influencing pricing decisions that directly impact client relationships, profitability, and risk. You'll partner closely with Merchant Services Sales and Relationship Managers, providing trusted guidance and data-driven recommendations on complex customer pricing decisions-always aligned with profitability and risk standards.
Pricing decisions are grounded in thoughtful analysis of client business dynamics such as sales volume, transaction patterns, seasonality, and cost structures, allowing you to help balance client needs with strong financial outcomes.
In this role you will:
- Develop a deep understanding of Wells Fargo Merchant Services pricing strategies, with decisions that directly affect customer outcomes and business performance
- Meet SLAs re: response to pricing requests/support
- Serve as a pricing advisor on large, complex client proposals, helping sales teams navigate structure, risk, and profitability
- Partner with product and technology teams to support the launch of new products, ensuring pricing models, exception processes, and approval frameworks are market-ready
- Maintain and enhance pricing tools and controls, helping mitigate risk and ensure disciplined execution
- Stay current on payment network regulations and compliance changes, translating those changes into practical pricing strategies
- Proactively identify, assess, and resolve pricing issues, balancing speed, accuracy, and risk management
- 7+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Pricing experience within the Merchant Services Industry
- Deep understanding of prevalent merchant fee structures in the U.S. market
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to act as a trusted advisor and consult with internal partners
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
- Self-starter with exceptional critical thinking skills combined with a strategic business focus; can formulate and implement solutions with minimal guidance
- Sense of urgency with ability to adapt to fast changing priorities and timelines
- This position offers a hybrid schedule with onsite presence required at one of the listed locations
