Responsibilities
- Healthcare Program Analysis: Perform rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis on U.S. healthcare and pharmacy plans, including claims data, utilization patterns, cost drivers, and participant outcomes. Identify trends, uncover insights, and recommend enhancements to existing programs.
- Strategic Initiative Support: Collaborate with the Healthcare Strategy and Benefits teams to design, implement, and monitor new pharmacy and medical initiatives, pilots, and vendor partnerships. Participate in RFP processes, vendor evaluations, and program launches.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a subject matter resource and liaison to internal business units, third-party administrators, pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), health plans, and industry consultants. Prepare and present findings, reports, and recommendations to leadership and stakeholder groups.
- Regulatory & Compliance Monitoring: Track and interpret changes in federal and state healthcare legislation, pharmacy benefit regulations, and industry best practices. Advise internal teams on compliance requirements, emerging risks, and strategic opportunities.
- Data Visualization & Reporting: Develop dashboards, scorecards, and presentations that translate complex healthcare and pharmacy data into actionable insights for decision makers, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and strategic value.
- Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Support cost projections, scenario planning, and ROI analyses for benefit plan changes and pharmacy initiatives. Partner with Finance and Actuarial colleagues to inform budgeting and strategy.
- Vendor Relationship Management: Support vendor assessments, performance monitoring, contract reviews, and issue resolution for pharmacy benefit managers, specialty drug providers, and other solution partners.
- Innovation & Best Practices: Stay abreast of trends in digital health, specialty pharmacy, value-based care, and health technology. Benchmark GM's programs against industry peers, bringing forward opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
- Project Management: Lead and participate in cross-functional project teams, managing timelines, deliverables, and communications across multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Finance, Human Resources, Pharmacy, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years' experience in healthcare analytics, pharmacy benefit management, health plan strategy, consulting, or related roles.
- Deep understanding of U.S. healthcare delivery, employer-sponsored benefits, medical and pharmacy claims, and vendor landscape.
- Advanced data analytics skills.
- Familiarity with HIPAA, ACA, ERISA, PBM contracts, and other regulatory frameworks impacting U.S. healthcare and pharmacy benefits.
- Proven ability to synthesize large data sets, interpret complex information, and communicate succinctly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated project management capabilities; ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a matrixed corporate environment.
- Experience building productive relationships with vendors, consultants, and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- High ethical standards and a commitment to confidentiality and data security.
- Experience supporting a Fortune 500 employer or large, self-insured organization.
- Direct experience with pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) operations, formulary management, specialty drug programs, or digital health pilots.
- Track record of delivering innovative, high-impact healthcare or pharmacy solutions.

- The salary range for this role is $85,100 - $135,900. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
- Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
