Who we are

Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations™ Cloud, which is a platform that enables organizations that depend on physical operations to harness Internet of Things (IoT) data to develop actionable insights and improve their operations. At Samsara, we are helping improve the safety, efficiency and sustainability of the physical operations that power our global economy. Representing more than 40% of global GDP, these industries are the infrastructure of our planet, including agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing — and we are excited to help digitally transform their operations at scale.

Working at Samsara means you’ll help define the future of physical operations and be on a team that’s shaping an exciting array of product solutions, including Video-Based Safety, Vehicle Telematics, Apps and Driver Workflows, and Equipment Monitoring. As part of a recently public company, you’ll have the autonomy and support to make an impact as we build for the long term.

About the Role

The GTM Business Operations team is looking for a curious, driven, and high-impact Senior Analyst to join us in support of Samsara’s fastest growing business in the Public Sector.

Our team’s mandate is to drive Public Sector revenue growth through strategic analytics, insights, and initiatives across the go-to-market (GTM) organization. We are a highly collaborative team that partners closely with sales leaders and cross-functional partners to hit ambitious growth targets, scale the organization sustainably, and tackle GTM challenges head-on.

In this role, you will report directly to the Business Operations & Strategy Lead for the Public Sector business and serve as a critical thought partner and analytical engine for the business — helping to shape how Samsara wins in public sector markets.

This role is open to candidates residing in the US except the San Francisco Bay Metro Area, NYC Metro Area, and Washington, D.C. Metro Area.

You Should Apply If
  • You want to impact the industries that run our world: Your efforts will have a real impact on our communities– helping kids get to school on-time and safely, keeping roads cleared after storms, and ensuring public servants return home safely.
  • You’re motivated by untapped opportunity: You’re energized by building and pursuing new ventures that don’t have a pre-set playbook. You know how to use data, frameworks, and good judgment to cut through the noise and drive decisions.
  • You’re excited about AI as a force multiplier: You don’t just use AI tools - you think carefully about where and how they change the way analytical and operational work gets done, and you want to be at the front of that shift
  • You are the architect of your own career: You take initiative and love learning. If you put in the work, this role won’t be your last at Samsara. We have built a culture that encourages rapid career development and opportunities to experiment and master your craft in a high impact environment.
  • You want to be with the best: At Samsara, we win together, celebrate together and support each other. You will be surrounded by a high-calibre team that will encourage you to do your best.
In This Role, You Will
  • Partner with the Business Operations and Strategy lead for Public Sector leadership to develop and refine go-to-market strategy across government and public sector segments (Federal, SLED, and adjacent verticals)
  • Assess market trends (e.g., procurement policy, budget cycles, competitive dynamics) to identify market opportunities, prioritize focus areas, and drive initiatives to help the business deliver on growth ambitions
  • Build and maintain analytical models that assess and diagnose performance across teams, territories, segments, and products
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement AI-enabled workflows and automation opportunities to increase the team’s analytical throughput and scale GTM activations
  • Share insights and recommendations in team business reviews, executive briefings, and planning cycles with data-driven insights and well-structured materials
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new markets
Minimum Requirements for the Role
  • 3–5+ years of experience in analytical roles (e.g., Consulting, Business Operations, Sales Operations, Strategy, or GTM Analytics)
  • Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills, with the ability to independently structure a problem, structure analyses, and communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated fluency with data tools — including Excel/Google Sheets, SQL/Databricks, and/or a BI or visualization platform (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Mode)
  • Working familiarity with AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) and an interest in building or evaluating AI-assisted workflows
  • Kind and collaborative orientation who is energized by working with a lot of different types of people from many teams (sense of humor is a big plus)
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and sense of ownership
  • Highly communicative and able to move fast in a remote working environment
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and energized by the challenge of operating in a high-growth company and sector
  • Fully fluent in English
An Ideal Candidate Also Has
  • Familiarity with Public Sector sales dynamics, including procurement cycles, contract vehicles, and compliance considerations
  • A track record of publishing AI products, workflows, or automations that unlocked new ways of working with superior insights, capabilities, or efficiency
  • Experience building strong relationships and collaborating with cross-functional partners
  • High intellectual curiosity and honesty: we love to debate ideas, and losing a debate to a good argument is just as exciting as winning one

At Samsara, we build for the people who keep the global economy moving. We want owners, not passengers, which is why our rewards are designed to fuel high-impact builders. Our compensation program delivers above-market total compensation through a combination of base salary, performance-based bonus/variable pay, and equity (for eligible roles) in a high-growth public company. We meaningfully differentiate pay for our top performers, who have the opportunity to earn above-market compensation that can outpace the broader market over time.

Beyond compensation, we provide the foundations that enable long-term success: a flexible, employee-led remote model, a professional development stipend, comprehensive health and parental leave plans, and more. If you’re ready to build for the long term and own the outcome, your journey starts here.
