As a Senior Analyst, Equity Index Product Management, you will work closely with senior team members and cross-functional partners to support a wide range of projects. This role offers the opportunity to deepen your knowledge of global financial markets, the investment management industry, and FTSE Russell’s flagship index portfolios, including the Russell US Index Series and FTSE Global Equity Index Series, which together benchmark approximately $14.4 trillion in assets.
You will play a key role in product development, life cycle management, and go-to-market processes, collaborating with teams across Research, Marketing, Index Delivery, Sales, and Client Experience to deliver on critical initiatives and the product roadmap. Your work will contribute to benchmarks that guide trillions of dollars in assets globally, playing a meaningful role in global financial markets. This position also offers opportunities to contribute ideas that compose product strategy and influence the evolution of FTSE Russell’s equity index offerings.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Provide analytical support for FTSE Russell’s flagship equity index franchises through trend analysis, competitor benchmarking, and product evaluation.
  • Use tools like LSEG Workspace and internal databases to deliver actionable insights.
  • Maintain and update client-facing collateral for major index series, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support product life cycle activities—from new product design to enhancements and decommissions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement the product roadmap and ensure distribution coverage.
  • Track key performance indicators and find opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or equivalent and 2–4 years of experience in index product management or financial markets.
  • Solid understanding of global financial markets and index concepts such as market cap weighting, float adjustments, and methodology comparisons.
  • Ability to perform index-related calculations such as returns, values, and constituent or industry weights, and transform the results into clear, client-ready visuals.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to interpret and explain sophisticated data to internal and external collaborators with varying levels of sophistication.
  • Ability to establish credibility and build strong, collaborative relationships across business and technology teams.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize optimally, lead multiple projects under tight deadlines, and identify and resolve potential issues early.
  • Demonstrates curiosity, adaptability, and a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Comfort working with large datasets and willingness to learn new tools and processes to improve efficiency.
  • You are expected to work independently with limited supervision, delivering key objectives on time and with exceptional accuracy.
