JOB PURPOSE

the Sr. Analyst of Corporate Finance works closely with senior management to increase a company’s efficiency and profitability by assisting with the formulation of both the medium and long-term financial plan.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working closely with the leadership team to formulate the business's medium to long term financial and strategic plan
  • Develop and maintain relevant reports and analyses to assist leadership of the Company in evaluating financial and operational performance.
  • Work with Corporate department heads to build their annual budgets and forecasts
  • Producing models to project long term growth and determine the impacting business factors
  • Delivery of competitor analysis, market trends and associated commentary to the Leadership team
  • Analyzing financial and operational results to better understand company performance
  • Utilizing BI tools to delivery meaningful insights into business performance
  • Communicate to senior management the reasons behind the product/department performance and results
  • Reviewing operations and recommending new productivity or cost saving initiatives
  • Preparing business cases to support new investment, strategic and other business decisions
  • Reviewing existing processes and procedures to develop recommendations for improvement efforts
  • Evaluating previous budgets, expenditures to develop and implement future budgets
  • Communicating results and recommendations to senior management for improvements that will lead to cost reduction, revenue generation and streamlining operations
  • Provide insights to senior management around financial modeling, forecasts and profitability

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field
  • 3-5 Years of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate accounting, or other analytical role
  • Advanced MS Excel skills required
  • Experience building financial models and creating presentations summarizing key outcomes and drivers

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong understanding of financial statements and the interconnectivity of the three primary financial statements
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • General familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Standard office environment, usually indoors away from the elements with moderate noise. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Maintain a stationary position for extended periods; move about the office, operate computers and files, as needed; and frequently communicate with others. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally, the employee is required to lift boxes up to 20 pounds. 

SCHEDULING

This is a full-time benefits-eligible position, working Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

TRAVEL

Local travel is required. Out of state travel is limited, but may be required for special training/conferences.
