Job Summary:

We are seeking a Sr. Commercial Strategy & Operations Analyst to join our Software & Data business. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Commercial Strategy & Operations, this role is ideal for someone who wants to learn how to run a business, loves working with data and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

In this role, you will partner across teams to shape strategy, improve processes, optimize commercial performance, and drive results. You’ll have the opportunity to influence business decisions, uncover opportunities through data, and contribute to an industry that is undergoing rapid technology adoption and transformation. The right person is curious and collaborative, asks thoughtful questions to uncover insights and brings a strong sense of accountability, taking ownership to ensure initiatives are successfully executed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Business Performance: Analyze KPIs, commercial metrics, and business performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for growth. Partner with Go-to-Market Operations, Finance, Product and Technology to develop consistent Power BI dashboards and reporting metrics, ensuring cross-functional teams have actionable insights to drive decisions and improve results.

  • Financial Modeling & Analysis: Build models, projections, and scenario analyses to evaluate performance and guide decisions. Bridge Finance and business teams to translate insights into clear, actionable strategies.

  • Strategic & Operating Plan Support: Contribute to annual planning and strategic initiatives through structured analysis, scenario modeling, and actionable business recommendations.

  • Pricing & Commercial Analysis: Evaluate pricing, customer adoption, and market dynamics to optimize revenue, margin, and market impact.

  • Process Improvement & Execution: Identify inefficiencies, implement solutions, and track progress of key initiatives to ensure goals are met. Maintain accountability by tracking actions and follow-up from operating model inspections, team meetings, and cross-functional initiatives. You are known as a problem solver who can get things done.

  • Market & Business Research: Investigate industry trends, competitors, and customer behaviors to inform commercial and strategic decisions.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance, Sales, Marketing, Product and Operations teams, leveraging your trustworthiness and relationship-building skills to influence and drive performance across the organization.

Key Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred).

  • Experience: 4+ years in strategy, consulting, business operations, or analytics—experience in software or data-driven businesses is a strong plus.

  • Business Acumen: Understand business metrics and the P&L, and use that understanding to drive performance with cross-functional teams.

  • Analytical Skills: Highly curious, structured thinker who digs into data to uncover insights and opportunities for improvement.

  • Problem-Solving & Execution: Master problem solver with a reputation for getting things done in complex, fast-moving environments.

  • Communication & Influence: Able to build trust, communicate effectively, and influence stakeholders across teams to achieve results.

  • Tools: Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with BI tools (especially Power BI) preferred.
