Position Summary

As a Senior Analyst within the Specialty Analytics team, you will be responsible for developing analytic models, methodologies, reports, and process changes that support the company’s strategy initiatives. In this challenging role you will be designing, developing, and delivering analytic solutions, constructing, and manipulating large datasets to support planned analysis, using Alteryx, SQL, Tableau, Python, Teradata, and similar business intelligence tools. You will own problem analysis, solution validation, risk management, issue resolution/escalation and stakeholder engagement processes. You will develop tools / dashboards to support, manage and report on various business innovation strategies, oversee day-to-day aspects of assigned moderate to complex projects to ensure each project is delivered on-time.

    Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities

    • Examines the business needs and develops outputs that support decision-making processes.
    • Creates reports, dashboards, and visualizations to present data-driven insights in a clear and concise manner.
    • Analyzes trends and patterns to identify areas of improvement, efficiency gains, and opportunities for growth.
    • Uses statistical techniques, data mining, and predictive modeling to uncover patterns, trends, and correlations within the data.
    • Helps stakeholders make informed decisions by providing insights into potential future outcomes and their associated risks.
    • Applies critical thinking and problem-solving skills to derive meaningful insights that drive business decision-making.
    • Participates in cross-functional teams, including business managers, marketing professionals, and executives, to understand their information needs and help them make informed decisions.
    • Ensures the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of data used for analysis.
    • Perform data validation and verification to ensure the data used in the analysis is trustworthy and meets predefined quality standards.
    • Collaborates with data governance teams to establish data standards, data quality checks, and best practices for data collection and storage.
    • Explores innovative tools and approaches to improve data analysis and drive continuous improvement within the organization.
    • Seeks opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge through training, certifications, or participation in relevant industry events.

    To be successful in this role you should have:

    • Experience providing business-related and/or technical subject matter expertise on large, highly complex reporting projects
    • Experience performing business analytics to support management, multi-functional departments, staff members and peers
    • Ability to quickly develop knowledge and understanding of new systems and underlying data sources
    • The ability to interact with others in a professional manner
    • A penchant towards fostering teamwork and knowledge sharing to complete key tasks
    • An agile mindset and belief in delivering smaller projects more quickly, to provide value and gain feedback
    • Excellent technical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills

    Required Qualifications

    • 3+ years’ professional experience with a focus on Analytics.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience developing user dashboards using data visualization software, preferably Tableau.
    • Experience using Alteryx/Dataiku, Python coding language, machine learning, VBA coding, and SQL Server/Oracle.

    Education

    • Bachelor’s Degree Required or equal years of working experience may be considered.
    • Master’s Degree Preferred.

    Pay Range

    The typical pay range for this role is:

    $46,988.00 - $102,000.00

    This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
