Senior Accounting Manager

Starface is looking for a Senior Accounting manager to join our growing Finance team. Reporting to the Head of Accounting, you’ll support the backbone of our financial operations, blending technical expertise with hands-on execution, and helping to further develop the foundation that will support Starface’s continued growth.

• Partner closely with the Head of Accounting and the finance team to support core corporate accounting functions including financial reporting, technical accounting, and auditing.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring the accuracy of books and records to build a solid foundation for financial reporting and decision-making.
• Conduct account reconciliations across all balance sheets and P&L accounts in conjunction with the team.
• Prepare timely, accurate financial and operational reporting across departments.
• Partner with the finance team to maintain alignment between reporting and analysis and Starface’s strategic goals.
• Support execution of day-to-day, month-end, and year-end accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and the general ledger.
• Ensure compliance with ASC and GAAP standards.
• Support management of tax filings (corporate, sales, payroll) and coordinate with external partners on audits, insurance, and tax functions as needed.
• Heavily utilize NetSuite, partnering with the team to drive data migration and system enhancements as needed.
• Partner with the Accounting & Finance team to further develop accounting processes and controls to support long-term growth.
• Assist in managing cost of goods sold, prepaid inventory, and inventory reconciliation, providing leadership with ad-hoc pricing/margin analysis.
• Partner the Head of Accounting to deliver key insights and respond to requests.
• Act as a trusted partner to cross-functional teams, ensuring smooth collaboration and communication. 

this role is for you if

• You have 8+ years of experience in corporate accounting 
• You hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; CPA or equivalent certification is a big plus.
• You live in Eastern or Central timezone and can work standard ET/CT hours
• You have at least 2+ years of NetSuite experience and can jump right in.
• You have a deep understanding of ASC and GAAP, and bring strong technical accounting expertise.
• You’ve managed corporate financial reporting and auditing with precision.
• You’re detail-oriented, structured, and love bringing order to complexity.
• You communicate clearly and confidently across teams and levels.
• You’re excited to operate with autonomy in a fast-moving, sometimes ambiguous environment.
• You’re equally comfortable handling basic, day to day tasks as you are digging into high-level technical accounting.
• You bring a low ego, collaborative mindset, and thrive in a scrappy, startup environment.
• You’re energized by building processes from the ground up.

bonus points for…

• Multi-national accounting experience (preferred, but not required)
• Experience in consumer products and/or retail and understanding of the nuances 
• You have experience public accounting

salary & benefits 

• The compensation range for this role is a $110,000-$140,000 base depending on level of experience, as well as bonus eligibility.
