The ideal candidate will have the capability to prepare medium-to-high complexity returns for individuals and small businesses and review lower-complexity returns. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.
Requirements: 4-6 years public accounting experience in the area of taxation.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Preparation of medium to complex returns (small business and individuals – trusts is a plus).
• Preparation of ancillary returns (1099's, payroll, sales tax, annual filing fees, etc…).
• Advanced bookkeeping skills for small business clients.
• Tax Planning focusing on clients’ tax savings and ongoing tax opportunities
• Researching complex tax issues and developing resolutions.
• Data analytics and skillful problem-solving.
• Client communications and Coordination with their other advisors.
Position requirements:
• Bachelors of Accounting required.
• Masters in taxation is a plus.
• CPA or EA preferred.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work.
• Ability to work independently, but also work well with others.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
• Strong technology skills (the firm relies heavily on technology because the office is paperless –
Word, Excel, QuickBooks (online and desktop), Adobe pro, CFS payroll, BNA, AI technology)
• Prior experience with CCH Axcess Tax (or ProFx) is preferred.
Salary commensurate with experience, but range is $85,000 to $110,000Similar Jobs
