The Senior Accountant prepares, records, analyzes and reports accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles.
- Provides financial support, including forecasting, budgeting and analyzing variations from budget.
- Analyzes and prepares statutory accounts, financial statements, and reports.
- Begins to influence department’s strategy.
- Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction.
- Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance
- 5+ years of accounting/ finance experience
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain accuracy in a work environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present to leadership
- Demonstrates intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to develop and clearly present financial reports.
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Business Administration
- Prior experience working on projects within a professional setting preferred
- Proficiency in SQL (as defined by the ability to understand how the code is built; ad-hoc building/querying and data therein) and/or comparable programming languages
- Essbase, Power BI, SmartView
- Healthcare
Additional Information
Hybrid/ Home Workstyle (up to 10 days per month in office) preferably residing in the Louisville, Ky metro area. If not, must be able to work EST business hours.
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.Scheduled Weekly Hours
