About This Role:

The Senior Accountant is part of the Accounting team and reports to our Manager, Corporate Accounting. As Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the accounting team with assisting with month-end and financial close processes. You will partner with Treasury, Legal, Operations, Compliance and Product teams, to ensure that our books and records are complete and accurate.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations across balance sheet and income statement accounts.

  • Perform roll-forwards and tie-outs of large data reports for crypto.

  • Ensure intercompany accounts are properly reconciled and eliminated in consolidation

  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.

  • Ability to identify and resolve data and reporting issues.

  • Develop, maintain, and improve Google Sheets with advanced formulas to support financial analysis, reporting, and process automation.

  • Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing documentation and offering necessary explanations.

  • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining accounting policies and internal controls.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as FP&A, Operations, and HR to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data

  • Participate in projects and respond to ad-hoc financial requests as needed.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting; CPA license preferred.

  • 3-5 years of accounting experience; Big 8 accounting experience preferred.

  • Crypto accounting experience is a plus

  • Direct experience performing detailed and data intensive reconciliations

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in all financial processes.

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining effective collaboration with team members.

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills to liaise across departments.

  • Experience with Slack, Mac OSX, GSuite and ERP such as Netsuite preferred

Salary:

The starting pay range for this role is between USD $115,000 and $130,000 for all U.S. remote locations. The actual base pay will vary, and is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skill sets, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change.
