This role is well suited for someone who can support the accounting function as a key member of the Revenue Accounting team. The Senior Accountant, Revenue Accounting is responsible for preparing and reviewing revenue reporting and related accounting activities on a weekly and monthly basis, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with US GAAP and internal controls. This role plays a key part in maintaining a strong SOX control environment over revenue reporting while identifying opportunities to enhance processes through automation, data tools, and emerging technologies. The role will leverage strong accounting and analytical expertise to support scalable reporting processes and improve efficiency and reliability of revenue operations.
This role reports to the Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting.
Where you can make an impact:Prepare and review weekly and monthly revenue reporting, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery to stakeholders.
Execute and support revenue-related close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analysis in accordance with US GAAP.
Support the execution and maintenance of SOX controls related to revenue accounting to ensure compliance with internal control requirements.
Identify and implement opportunities to improve revenue reporting processes through automation, improved data workflows, and emerging technologies including AI-enabled tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Finance, Operations, Product, and Data teams to ensure accurate revenue data and reporting.
Assist with the revenue-related financial reporting requirements, including internal management reporting and support for external financial reporting and audit requests.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, and documentation to support a strong control environment and scalable processes.
A technically strong accounting professional who brings deep knowledge of US GAAP and a strong understanding of internal controls to the revenue accounting process. You play a key role in ensuring revenue reporting is accurate, well-supported, and delivered on time each week and month.
You take ownership of revenue close activities including preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, variance analyses, while helping maintain a robust SOX control environment through well-documented processes and strong supporting evidence.
You are naturally curious about how things can work better. You look for opportunities to streamline processes, improve data flows, and reduce manual work by leveraging automation, improved tooling, and emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions.
You collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure revenue reporting reflects the underlying business activity, and that financial data remains reliable and transparent.
You also support audit activities and help strengthen accounting documentation, policies, and controls so that the revenue accounting function can scale with the business.
3 to 5 years of professional accounting/finance experience including experience in external audit (or working with auditors in a public company audit).
CPA license is required.
Working understanding of GAAP in practice.
Experience working with SOX.
Proven ability to succeed in a fast paced and constantly changing environment.
Team player who is proactive and comfortable communicating with people at different levels within the organization.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Mix of private and public accounting is a plus.
Experience with large ERP systems such as Oracle/SAP/Netsuite is a plus.
This role will be remote (based in the U.S.).
