We are looking for a Senior Account Executive based in North America to drive enterprise sales efforts across a defined territory. This region includes some of Aerospike’s most strategic customers and partners, and we are seeking a sales leader who can both expand existing relationships and secure new logo business.
This role requires a tenacious, intelligent salesperson who can think on their feet and engage in a highly consultative manner with Development and Operations/IT teams within large enterprises. The Senior Account Executive will be responsible for territory development, prospect qualification, proposing and closing sales opportunities for Aerospike products and services. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, biased toward action, with prior experience selling database or infrastructure solutions into enterprise accounts, ideally with vertical expertise.
This is a direct sales role that requires regular face-to-face engagement with prospects and customers across the assigned North American territory.
Responsibilities- Source, develop, and close new business opportunities to consistently exceed quarterly sales targets
- Build a deep understanding of Aerospike’s products, value proposition, and competitive landscape
- Develop and execute effective territory planning and account management strategies
- Proactively engage target prospects and evangelize Aerospike solutions and customer success stories with Development leaders and technical teams
- Deliver compelling presentations using industry knowledge, market trends, and customer case studies to clearly articulate Aerospike’s value
- Qualify, document, and manage all opportunities within Salesforce (SFDC)
- Develop and execute sales strategies in a fast-paced, small-team environment
- Provide the highest level of customer service and act as a trusted advisor to customers
- Contribute to broader sales strategy and share best practices and success stories with peers
- Attend and support regional events, meetups, and customer-facing activities
Required experience and skills:
- 5–7+ years of quota-carrying field sales experience, specifically in database or data management software, SaaS or both
- Located in the United States with strong preference for Austin, San Francisco/San Jose Bay Area, or New York
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong foundational understanding of database technologies and data platforms
- Strong ability to guide customers and prospects through sales processes using proven methods like MEDDPICC and Customer Centric Selling
- Proven ability to engage, influence, and negotiate with senior leadership and C-level executives across Engineering, IT, and the business
- Self-motivated, detail oriented, disciplined team player comfortable working remotely in a fast-paced startup environment
- Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding sales revenue goals
