Senior 3d Artist

We're seeking a skilled and versatile Senior 3D Artist with expertise in 3D modeling, technical art, VFX, animation, and more. In this role, you'll craft high-quality, engaging assets for a third-person, non-violent MMO. You'll be responsible for transforming prototype features into polished player experiences, working on models, materials, asset kits, blueprints, particle systems, and other essential elements of the entire art pipeline.

Collaboration is key—you’ll work closely with designers, engineers, and other artists to ensure a cohesive and visually compelling experience. The ideal candidate is adaptable, creative, and passionate about bringing unique game environments to life, with a strong eye for detail and an understanding of optimizing assets for performance without sacrificing quality.

Responsibilities:

• Authoring high quality 3D assets for use in a variety of gameplay scenarios, in a procedurally generated world. A willingness to work with art techniques not standard to the industry

• Taking prototype features to shippable quality. Collaborating with other artists and designers, and plan out assets needed to complete features

• Implementing your asset into UE5, creating shaders and animations when needed for them, and supplemental VFX alongside Blueprint events and timelines

• Working with Art Leads to help identify necessary workflow and pipeline improvements

• Working with other developers on a small team to make sure a breadth of content is optimized for performance on multiple platforms

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of game art experience

• Experience in Blender

• Prior experience working in Unreal, Niagara

• A portfolio that demonstrates solid environment art experience in stylized colorful worlds

• Prior experience working with modular assets/kits

• The ability to create assets quickly, without thorough art direction or concepts

• Experience implementing assets and working within game config files

• Other generalist skills: concept art, character animation, etc

Compensation

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $100,000 - $300,000 USD.
