The Role

Netflix continues to innovate, with our consumer products now including new verticals such as Games, Live and Ads, and we are evolving our solutions to support the unique needs of additional consumer facing solutions, reflecting unique requirements for transported data, integrations and security controls.
The Consumer Product Security & Trust (CPST) organization enables a productive, efficient, safe and secure Netflix at scale. We maintain trustworthiness throughout the lifecycle of our consumer product experience, being responsible for securing the Netflix consumer product and defending against fraud & abuse. This role will join the organization as a hands-on security product & partnerships manager, acting as the security representative to our Product Innovation, Engineering, Partnership and Business Development teams for key product initiatives, such as Live and Account Sharing. You bring strong client side device and content security experience, helping to derive a security posture for our client devices, working closely with our partner engineering teams to assess and identify improvements that map to the direction of the company. And you are responsible for collecting and organizing business strategy and security requirements back to our organization for discussion.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Collate product and engineering features and strategy for the CPST organization, identifying key areas to engage for deeper security discussions and development.

  • Understand streaming and gaming ecosystems to consume business context on key initiatives, balancing security initiatives with appropriate risk tolerance.

  • Manage highly complex cross-functional initiatives spanning technology, product definition, engineering goals, partner engagement, and business development.

  • Lead without authority, unafraid to take responsibility in order to decrease complexity for others, yet always providing visibility and context.

Desired skills and background:

  • Device and client security background.

  • Familiarity with Games security technology, specifically in mobile and/or cloud games.

  • Strong communication skills, with an ability to translate detailed technical concepts or business context to those not as closely involved.

  • Self-starting relationship-building skills, with an ability to foster and maintain long-term relationships.

  • Experience working on highly cross-functional projects, spanning internal and external stakeholders.

  • Comfortable in ambiguous, complex problem areas, consuming information to simplify conversations within security.
