Are you a passionate security engineer with a knack for clear communication? Do you thrive in a collaborative environment where your technical knowledge empowers customer success? 

Vectra.ai is seeking a talented Security Engineer (Pre-Sales) to join our growing team. You'll maximise your deep security expertise to collaborate with Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) by working to understand key customer struggles and positioning and demonstrating the value of Vectra solutions and services that resolve them, while helping them understand the power of Vectra’s Cognito platform, explaining technical features, and problem-solving any potential roadblocks in real-time.

In this role, you'll:

  • Partner with RSΜs: Work hand-in-hand with your RSM to understand customer challenges and demonstrate how Vectra's Cognito platform and security solutions address them.
  • Technical Expertise: Be the domain expert on Vectra products, confidently delivering demos, explaining features, and solving potential roadblocks.
  • Communication is Key: Collaborate effectively across teams, ensuring all partners are informed and aligned for optimal customer solutions.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay at the forefront of the security landscape by maintaining in-depth knowledge of Vectra's product line and industry trends.
  • Relationship Builder: Develop and foster strong technical relationships with customers and partners to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Work alongside other Vectra engineers on high-level projects to deliver ground breaking security solutions.
  • Staying Informed: Maintain a strong understanding of Vectra's competitors and participate in deployment reviews, forecast calls, and design meetings.

What We're Looking For:

  • Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of security-focused product lines (CASB, EDR, SIEM, or forensics) with the ability to translate features into customer value and standard methodologies.
  • Networking Skills: Strong knowledge of networking principles (L3-L7 OSI layers) to effectively communicate security solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication for crafting compelling proposals and delivering impactful pre-sales presentations.
  • Security Enthusiast: Passionate about the security landscape with a strong understanding of attacker progression (Red Team/Pentesting methodologies) and incident response (Blue Team) approaches. Certifications like CEH, OSCP, OSCE, GNFA, and CISSP are a plus.
  • Cloud Savvy: Familiarity with cloud security and network architectures, with certifications like AWS Certified Security Specialty (SCS-C01) a plus.

Experience:

  • Startup DNA is a must: willing and able to do "whatever it takes" with motivation to find solutions rather than admire the challenge.
  • Customer-first behaviour is a must.
  • 5+ years demonstrated ability in a Technical Account Management or Security Engineering role.
  • Large account management experience is required.


Our competitive total rewards package includes cash compensation within the range provided below Actual pay for this position may vary based on the hired candidate’s location, experience and relevant incumbent pay position.

$180,000$240,000 USD
