Security Data Architect

The Role:

Halcyon’s goal is to deliver an anti-ransomware solution that breaks new ground as to what a security product can deliver.  Aligned with this goal, Halcyon is looking for an experienced data professional to discover, design, and implement techniques which will consume data from multiple sources and generate real world protection and intelligence. This intelligence will then be used throughout the product in ways that allow Halcyon to protect its customers from the threat of ransomware.

Responsibilities:

• Consume, clean, correlate, model, test, and report on Halcyon’s data

• Provide suggestions for future data collection and storage to increase data effectiveness

Skills and Qualifications:

• Knowledge with the following languages: SQL and Python

• Experience with one or more of the following data platforms: Databricks/Spark, SQL (Any)

• Experience with the AWS Cloud

• Understanding of Data Warehousing, Data Lakes and Delta Lakes

• Experience creating dashboards and data visualizations

• Excellent reporting and communication skills

Bonus Skills and Qualifications:

• Knowledge of additional languages/platforms(Scala, Elastic/OpenSearch, Stream Processing/Kafka)

• Familiarity with static and dynamic malware analysis

• Familiarity with network threats, protections, EDR, threat classification and endpoint security

Base Salary Range: $180,000 - $220,000

Bonus Target: 10%
