Position Detail:
Security Analyst II protects Grainger information assets by supporting the development and deployment sustainable vulnerability management processes, analyzing external threat intelligence and making it available to the right teams at the right time, effectively collaborating across the organization.
You will:
- Assist in the development and continuous improvement of Grainger's vulnerability and threat management program.
- Support the creation and operation of repeatable vulnerability management processes that enable "security by default."
- Participate in the management and execution of vulnerability and threat management processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve current processes through automation and workflow optimization.
- Collaborate in the implementation of automation and improved organizational workflows to achieve greater accuracy and reduce time to action.
- Analyze threat intelligence sources and escalate relevant information to Security Operations, Legal, and other relevant Grainger teams.
- Assist in the creation and tracking of SLA workflows to assure accurate escalation of SLA notifications.
- Ensure accurate reporting of key threat and vulnerability management metrics to Grainger leadership and other stakeholders
- Support the creation and tracking of metrics and workflows for Application, Cloud, and Server and Endpoint vulnerability management.
- Collaborate with partner teams in establishing scalable processes for vulnerability and asset prioritization based on available risk and threat data.
- Collaborate with partner engineering teams to identify and remediate blind spots in Grainger's vulnerability management process.
- Contribute to systems hardening efforts at Grainger by providing effective security best practices recommendations.
- Contribute to the development of security and threat management briefings to Grainger partner teams.
- An ideal candidate will have experience working with large datasets, building Splunk queries, working with API Keys, coding, Power BI and automating procedures.
You have:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related degree, or equivalent job experience.
- 2+ years of experience or training in security fundamentals design, implementation and troubleshooting across all computer platforms.
- 3+ years required of combined IT and security work experience with a broad exposure to infrastructure/network and multi-platform environments.
- Demonstrates a solid understanding of information security concepts.
- Ability to quickly learn, become competent in, and effectively apply new skills.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a complex environment for self and team members independently and effectively.
