Job Description:

This job is responsible for facilitating scrum ceremonies, managing dependencies, providing visibility into delivery plans and progress, promoting agile principles and mindset through coaching, and enabling continuous improvement across multiple scrum teams. Key responsibilities include optimizing the flow of stories and the value delivered for medium to high complexity projects and programs. Job expectations include ensuring the team resolves impediments quickly, following agreed-to processes, and maintaining a good relationship with the product management team and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Demos/Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives
  • Provides visibility into the Agile team’s delivery plans and progress against plan to stakeholders
  • Manages risk including dependency management, impediment removal and compliance with Enterprise Change Management and other policy requirements
  • Applies metrics to assess team delivery, maturity, and performance and identifies and shares improvement opportunities with the team
  • Partners with product stakeholders to ensure the team has a healthy product and Sprint backlog
  • Provides coaching and mentoring to the team for them to become high performing by collaborating, focusing on continuous improvement including cross-training, and sharing knowledge on scrum practices and Agile principles
  • Leads scaled planning for the team including Pre Planning/Preparation and Program Increment Planning Events) and represents the team in Scrum of Scrums/Agile Release Train Syncs

Position Summary

This role is responsible for planning, coordinating and delivery of defined deliverables which usually requires collaborating with team leaders decision makers related to projects or smaller programs. Key responsibilities include communicating the work objectives, coordinating delivery, managing issues risks, ensuring compliance to standards, and providing end-to-end visibility into the health of the deliverables. This role ensures execution and delivery meets the client’s expectations in terms of the functionality, quality, timeline and cost. They facilitate sync points across multiple teams to enable delivery.

Required Qualifications
  • Communicates the target outcomes, coordinates delivery, manages risks, ensures compliance to standards, and provides visibility into the health of the program.
  • Ensures execution and delivery meets the client’s expectations in terms of the target outcomes, timeline, cost.
  • Manage financials for the projects, assist with resource planning, and facilitate sync points between business and technology leaders across multiple organizations, as well as Risk and Compliance partners.
  • Coordinates and facilitates the project routines - e.g. kick-off, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, tollgates, etc. Plans and coordinates delivery and dependencies across multiple organizations.
  • Responsible to provide status updates to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to the target outcomes, delivery, risks/issues, and schedule.
  • Strong presentation skills - written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail with strong time management, information organization change management skills.
  • JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Agile methodology, SDLC, STLC, Issues Tracking and Reporting, SCRUM, JIRA reports, release processes, software environments
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary team while juggling multiple priorities.
  • Collaborate to conceptualize project plans/ideas with technology team leaders and present to executive decision makers.
  • Ability to incorporate live feedback in meetings.
  • Degree in Communications, Business, Finance or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in an IT organization/environment or Finance Industry.
  • Prior technology experience in project management, business analysis or QA testing and/or demonstrated ability to effectively translate technical issues into business terms and deliver the information in a clear, concise way, ensuring the organization makes rapid and informed decisions.
