Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Salesforce Business Analyst to join our Information Technology team.
This role will be responsible for converting the business requests into requirements that the Salesforce developers and admins can use to make modifications and enhancements to the Salesforce software. The candidate will have to work closely with both the business and development team.

What you’ll be doing:
Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
- Engage with onshore stakeholders to understand business objectives, processes, and requirements.
- Conduct virtual workshops, interviews, and surveys to gather and document detailed business requirements.
- Analyse business processes and identify opportunities for optimization and automation within the Salesforce ecosystem.
Data Management and Integration:
- Perform data analysis to assess data integrity and quality within Salesforce, implementing data cleansing and enrichment strategies as needed.
- Design data migration plans to facilitate seamless transition of data between systems.
- Work with integration teams to design and implement integrations between Salesforce and other systems, ensuring data consistency and accuracy.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Develop test plans and test cases to validate Salesforce configurations and customizations.
- Conduct thorough testing of new features and enhancements, ensuring alignment with business requirements and quality standards.
- Collaborate with onshore teams to coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and address feedback in a timely manner.
Training and Support:
- Provide remote training and support to end-users on Salesforce functionality, troubleshooting issues and answering inquiries as needed.
- Create user documentation, training materials, and knowledge articles to promote user adoption and self-service support.
Serve as a remote subject matter expert (SME) for Salesforce-related inquiries and escalations.
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
- Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) a plus but not required.
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on Salesforce platform.
- Candidate is proficient in Salesforce configuration and customization using declarative tools, with experience working in an offshore capacity.
- Insurance industry experience and knowledge with an understanding of the terminology, business functions (UW, Claims, Finance, Actuarial) and business processes.
- Working knowledge of some / or all the following lines of business (Commercial Auto, General Liability, Aviation, Workers Compensation, and Property/Casualty.)
- Hands-on experience writing user stories is required.
- Experience with formal SDLCs and business analysis methodologies. Has a working knowledge of business analysis documentation standards. Agile methodology experience a plus.
- Experience using standard project and business tools including TFS and Rally.
- Has familiarity with a broad multi-disciplinary information technology and proven experience in systems deployment.
- Must have experience with using Salesforce for insurance or reinsurance.
- Experience in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and SharePoint.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Must have experience working with various organizational units with a proven track record of working with IT departments and businesses.
- Must be able to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance.
- Possess personal time-management skills and can meet individual and team deadlines.
- Has strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with onshore stakeholders.
- Possess a detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
