Salesforce architects are responsible for designing and building custom applications on the Salesforce platform. They work closely with clients to understand their business needs, then use this information to design a solution that meets those needs in the most efficient way possible.
- Reviewing new technologies and making recommendations for their use in the company’s products
- Collaborating with other members of the team to ensure that the project meets its objectives
- Designing system architectures that support business processes and improve performance, scalability, security, and reliability
- Identifying opportunities to improve the way their organization uses technology products or services
- Recommending improvements to existing applications or developing new software to meet business needs
- Creating designs and prototypes to illustrate how new features or functionality will work
- Assessing potential security risks and recommending changes to mitigate those risks
- Working with other members of the development team to design and develop new applications or improve existing ones
- Developing and documenting technical specifications for new applications or upgrades to existing ones
