This role’s primary function is the first point of contact for processing Requests for proposals from external brokers. Working closely with internal Sales Executives the role is the overall pre-sale process for Employee Benefit insurance for new and existing business for 50-99lives.
Pre-Sale Process:
- Managing a group inbox to effectively receive and process requests for proposals for Life, Disability and Supplemental Health products for groups 50-99 lives.
- Monitor RFP Inbox.
- Scrub for completeness and route to appropriate team for rating.
- Highlight plans for rating.
- Interface with Broker/sales executives for questions/clarifications from initial data provided or additional data needed
- Capturing the "in good order" of the case when broker comes back
- Declinations prior to rating.
- Verify licensing & appointment of the Broker prior to submission.
- Maintain case correspondences per Document Management Guidelines.
- Customer/Broker.
- Support other Sales Support personnel when out.
- Attends and participates in all mandatory training, meetings, etc.
- As appropriate route incoming inquiries to appropriate internal partners.
- Project support as needed.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of Group Insurance terms, provisions and administration.
- College degree preferred or equivalent experience with financial ratings preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail oriented and able to manage multiple priorities at once; Attention to detail-error free work
- Ability to build rapport, and develop/maintain strong relationships with internal/external partners
- Critical thinking: Proactively identify and anticipate needs.
- Quick learner. Solves problems by gathering and using different sources of information.
This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work arrangement. Candidates who live near one of our office locations will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise.
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
