Position Overview:

Reporting to the Inside Sales Manager, the Sales Ops Specialist will be working with assigned Client Directors and their clients to provide sales and operations support. This individual plays a key role in supporting the sales team by handling quoting and order booking and coordinating with vendors, distribution, clients and internal teams to ensure smooth and efficient sales operations process.

This role will require someone who enjoys a dynamic and changing environment as part of a high-growth company. It will require collaboration between different business units and departments while working on a national team but supporting at the regional level. It is a hybrid role but will require office time based on regional activities.  Some of the key traits to be successful in this role include:

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Client Directors to understand their customer projects and support in the day to day activities
  • Participation in client meetings and presentations may be required
  • Identify and submit opportunity registrations when applicable along with noting potential rebates provided by Vendor Management and Client Director and submitting claims as required
  • Build a strong and trustworthy relationship with Client Director and client
  • Understand the individual needs of Client Directors and their clients and how to effectively support the business
  • Source product from manufacturers and distributors, obtaining pricing, current lead times and availability
  • Prepare quotations and templates as required along with processing sales orders according to Arctiq guidelines and submitting for processing
  • Complete and renew all applicable sales certifications
  • Develop relationship with Manufacturers and relevant Distribution contacts
  • Help with coordinate and quote any logistics required for delivery
  • Responsible for initiating product returns within assigned territory and submitting to Finance for tracking and closure
  • Create various reports ensuring they are timely and relevant
  • Recommend opportunities for operational and process improvement within the Inside Sales role
  • Train and provide process guidance for new team members
  • Handle any special projects as assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a sales support position within IT
  • Knowledge and experience working within IT channel
  • University/College diploma/degree is preferred
  • Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or in team environment while functioning well under pressure
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in Hubspot, ConnectWise Sell and Netsuite is a definite asset

Please note - this is not a Business Development Role that will include cold calling or setting up appointments/meetings for the Client Directors.
