About the role
You play a key role in helping customers accelerate the energy transition and decarbonisation of their operations. In this customer-facing role, you win new business, grow existing relationships, and open up new markets for advanced power conversion products and solutions.
You lead opportunities from early engagement through to final negotiation and handover to project execution. You work closely with customers and internal teams to shape winning commercial strategies, deliver a strong customer experience, and ensure our solutions continue to meet evolving market needs.

What you will do
• Lead and manage sales opportunities to achieve orders, sales, margin, and down payment targets
• Build strong relationships with existing customers while identifying and developing new business opportunities
• Drive the full sales process from origination and qualification through to negotiation and handover to delivery teams
• Work closely with execution and service teams to create a positive customer experience from enquiry through to after-sales support
• Shape customer-specific commercial strategies in partnership with regional teams, business leaders, marketing, commercial operations, and sales operations
• Identify opportunities to include service offerings such as long-term support, digital solutions, and parts within new equipment sales
• Share customer and market insight with product and marketing teams to strengthen our value proposition and support future product development
• Maintain accurate opportunity and project information in CRM systems and follow established commercial processes
• Collaborate with engineering, finance, operations, and commercial colleagues to support a smooth transition from sales to project execution
• Stay informed on customer priorities, market developments, competitor activity, pricing trends, and commercial conditions
• Represent the business at trade shows, conferences, and other market development activities
• Support strategic customer engagement, including relationship-building with senior decision-makers in key accounts
What you bring:
You bring a strong customer focus, commercial awareness, and the ability to build trust with a wide range of stakeholders. You are confident leading sales opportunities in technically complex environments and enjoy working across teams to turn ideas into outcomes.
We are particularly interested in hearing from you if you have:
• Experience in sales within the power conversion, electrification, or related energy sector
• A strong understanding of large, complex electrical power systems
• Knowledge of one or more markets such as ports, utilities, renewables, rail, test systems, metals, or mining
• The ability to understand customer drivers and translate them into compelling commercial solutions
• Strong communication and presentation skills, including the confidence to engage customers clearly and credibly
• Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
• A proactive, self-motivated approach and the ability to work with a high level of ownership
• A consistent focus on delivering results
• Flexibility to travel frequently within the UK and occasionally overseas
You may also stand out if you have experience in areas such as:
• Working in an engineering, EPC, or project-based business serving large multinational customers
• Power quality solutions for utility, grid, or industrial applications
• Electrification solutions for infrastructure or large industrial plants, including microgrids
• Medium-voltage direct current or alternating current grid connection schemes
• Electrical solutions supporting hydrogen production and supply chains
A degree in engineering, business, or a related field can be helpful, but we also welcome applications from candidates who have built equivalent knowledge through relevant industry experience.
