About this Role:

We are seeking a highly technical and customer-facing Sales Engineer with deep expertise in hardware and software. This role will be a critical technical resource for our sales team, working alongside Account Executives to support product demonstrations, troubleshoot, and gather customer feedback to drive product improvements.

The ideal candidate has a passion for drone technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical solutions in a clear and compelling manner. This position requires 75%+ travel to customer sites, trade shows, and field operations.

* We are not considering East Coast Candidates at this time.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the technical expert supporting Account Executives during sales engagements, ensuring customers understand the capabilities and value of BRINC’s DFR solutions.

  • Help facilitate technical discussions with customers to understand how our solution can cater to their agency and operations

  • Conduct live product demonstrations and proof-of-concept engagements, both onsite and remotely.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware and software, providing hands-on support to customers.

  • Act as the Voice of the Customer (VoC) by collecting and communicating feedback to engineering teams for product enhancements.

  • Collaborate closely with sales leadership, hardware engineering, and software engineering teams to drive continuous improvement in product offerings.

  • Develop technical documentation, training materials, and best practices for customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Support deployment and integration efforts for customers adopting BRINC’s technology.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging UAV technologies.

  • 75% Travel Required

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical sales engineering, solutions engineering, or field engineering role.

  • Experience selling software solutions (SAAS)

  • Ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges in real-world environments.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify and convey technical concepts.

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with sales, engineering, and product teams.

  • Comfortable with extensive travel (75%+), including customer site visits, trade shows, and field operations.

  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience in public safety, defense, or industrial UAV applications.

  • Technical certifications in drone operations, networking, or software development.

  • Hands-on experience with drone flight operations and regulatory compliance.

  • Strong hardware and software expertise, preferably in UAV/drone technology, robotics, or autonomous systems.

  • Experience with radio communications, networking, sensors, and cloud-based software platforms is a plus.

  • Experience selling in regulated environments

Salary: $134,550 - $164,450

Should you receive an offer, please expect that it can fall anywhere within this range. A multitude of factors will determine a fair salary based on scope of role within the organization, years of relevant experience, specific skills, and evaluation of capability to execute in role successfully (among other critical factors).
