Job Overview
The Sales Engineer, Technical Partner Product Management serves as a crucial link between customers, sales teams, and strategic partners to identify and lightly commercialize high-value solutions that respond to direct customer feedback, ultimately expanding the product portfolio and enabling T-Mobile to win business from previously unattainable customers. The role is also responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing third-party strategic partnerships and solutions that directly impact revenue growth and enhance the customer experience.
By collaborating cross-functionally with Customers, Product, Strategy, TFB Sales, Care, Engineering, and Marketing, this customer and partner-facing position will drive sales enablement and accelerate revenue by equipping T-Mobile for Business (TFB) sellers with the knowledge, tools, and expertise to position and sell strategic partner solutions effectively. Additionally, this role will lead the go-to-market execution of the ET platform and digital marketplace, ensuring it serves as a seamless, revenue-generating ecosystem within the Customers, Partners, Vendors, and Sellers ecosystems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • This role directly engages with customers to understand their business challenges, gather feedback, and ensure that T-Mobile provides the right solutions to close sales opportunities.
  • This position will work closely with customers, sales teams, and strategic partners to identify, develop, and commercialize high-value solutions that enhance the customer experience and drive revenue growth.
  • A key aspect of this role is directly supporting customers throughout their journey.
  • This includes facilitating hands-on solution trials, leading product demonstrations, and providing technical guidance to help customers make informed decisions.
  • Additionally, this role will act as a customer advocate, collaborating with internal teams—including Product, Sales, Strategy, and Marketing—to ensure solutions align with customer needs and market demand.
  • To further enhance the customer experience, this position will lead efforts to improve digital tools and platforms, ensuring seamless access to solutions that support business growth.
  • Attending industry tradeshows, participating in customer-focused webinars, and staying ahead of industry trends will be essential to proactively identifying new opportunities and enhancing T-Mobile’s product portfolio.
  • This role is instrumental in driving customer success, increasing the adoption of strategic solutions, and enabling sales teams to close more business through tailored recommendations and direct customer engagement.

Education and Work Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree STEM or PM area of study is strongly preferred. (Preferred)
  • Experience in solutions engineering, product development, operations, or IT supporting systems and tools. Required
  • Experience supporting third-party solutions. Preferred
  • Experience launching services or products. Preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Technology Solutions Proficiency in solving technical requirements for customers or sales teams. (Required)
  • Project Management Proficiency in managing projects to completion. (Preferred)
  • Communication Excellent oral and written communication; strong interpersonal skills. (Required)
  • Sales Experience with Sales Methodologies. (Preferred)
  • Applications Proficiency with business application software. (Required)
  • Strategic Thinking Ability to provide strategic direction to senior leaders and peers. (Required)
  • Technical Presentations Ability to create and deliver technical presentations. (Required)
  • Technical Acumen: Subject Matter Expertise in at least ONE wireless area of focus (Managed Network Products, Communications Products, Technology, or SE&I Support Programs) (Required)

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) (Preferred)

  • At least 18 years of age

Base Pay Range: $98,100 - $176,900

Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
