As a Sales Engineer – Relay Panels, a typical day might include the following:  

  • Managing and developing relationships with SEL customers and channel partners.
  • Understanding the true requirements and objectives of customers.
  • Determining, communicating and delivering the optimal SEL solution that best meets their needs.
  • Building and maintaining knowledge of all SEL products and teaching customers SEL technology and innovation.
  • Developing, maintaining and delivering quarterly orders forecasts and sales goals.
  • Collecting, analyzing and reporting industry, competitor and customer trends to the greater SEL organization.
  • Working collaboratively to understand and drive the resolution of customer feedbacks and product issues.
  • Liaising between customers, contracts & risk, and accounts receivable to facilitate commercial relationships.
  • Utilizing business tools to maintain customer relationship information, opportunity tracking and sales activities.
  • Reviewing and processing new customer requests for panels and custom enclosures according to established processes and procedures.
  • Developing and delivering quality proposals for panels and custom enclosures to customers and following up on status as required.
  • Processing orders for panels and custom enclosures and engaging with stakeholders during project execution.

 

This job might be for you if you have: 

  • A B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience in technical sales
  • 3 or more years of experience in an electrical engineering or technical sales environment
  • Demonstrated success working in a customer-facing role
  • The ability to travel up to 20%
  • Effective and engaging communication skills
  • Comfortability presenting in front of customers and stakeholders
  • The ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
  • The ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Fluency in local language and business practices
  • Experience using SEL products (preferred)
  • Utility and industrial industry experience (preferred)

Pay Range Data

$84,500 - $110,000 per year. Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
