At NerdWallet Small Business, we’re more than just a financial resource—we’re the go-to growth partner for small businesses ready to scale big. Our mission? To empower entrepreneurs with the tools, guidance, and tailored financial solutions they need to turn bold ideas into thriving businesses.

By blending proprietary technology with deep financial expertise, we deliver customized recommendations that drive smarter decisions, create more jobs, and strengthen the economy from the ground up.

We’re looking for a Sales Enablement Specialist who leads with data. This role is for someone who thrives on evaluating sales performance metrics, identifying patterns across the funnel, and translating insights into high-impact content, playbooks, and frameworks that drive measurable revenue growth.

Rather than focusing primarily on live deal coaching or onboarding enablement, this role centers on analyzing sales data, listening to calls, reviewing dashboards, and identifying performance gaps - then building scalable enablement solutions that improve close ratios, application conversion, and overall pipeline effectiveness.

If you excel at turning spreadsheets and call insights into actionable sales content that moves metrics, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Where you can make an impact:

Evaluate Data to Identify Growth Opportunities

Analyze sales performance data including call recordings, CRM reports, funnel conversion metrics, stage progression, and close ratios. Identify patterns and pinpoint opportunities for improvement across the sales cycle.

Turn Insights Into Scalable Enablement

Develop targeted training content, playbooks, talk tracks, frameworks, and process documentation based on real performance data. Focus on improving measurable outcomes such as: Close rate, Application collection and submission rates, Stage-to-stage conversion, Overall deal velocity.

Create High-Impact Deliverables

Own the full lifecycle of enablement assets — from diagnosis to delivery. Build structured, practical content that sellers can immediately apply in their day-to-day workflow.

Design Close Ratio Training Programs

Develop structured training initiatives aimed at improving bottom-of-funnel performance through clear frameworks, positioning strategies, and objection-handling guidance informed by data.

Partner With Sales Leadership

Collaborate with Sales Managers and Leadership to align training initiatives with compensation levers, and growth targets.

Measure and Iterate

Track performance metrics before and after enablement initiatives to ensure measurable impact. Continuously refine content and programs based on updated data insights.

Your experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in B2B sales training, sales enablement, sales operations, or performance-focused L&D.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze sales data (CRM dashboards, call analytics, conversion metrics) and translate insights into actionable content.

  • Experience creating structured playbooks, sales frameworks, and process documentation that drive measurable business results.

  • Strong analytical mindset with comfort reviewing spreadsheets, dashboards, and call recordings.

  • Proven track record of tying enablement initiatives directly to KPIs (conversion rates, close ratios, pipeline movement, deal velocity).

  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to build clear, structured deliverables.

  • Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, Gong (or similar conversation intelligence), Highspot (or similar enablement platforms), and LMS systems.

Where:
  • This role will be based in Scottsdale, AZ.

  • We have found that working in-person, alongside peers and more senior members of the team, confers great advantages owing to the spontaneous learning and collaboration opportunities that arise daily on a sales floor and that cannot be easily replicated in a remote environment.

  • We also understand the importance of flexibility to work remotely, both for personal and professional reasons. While this is an in-office role, as long as you are meeting our minimum performance standards, you’ll have the option to work remotely 20% of the month from anywhere in the continental US starting after you complete training, typically between months 4-6.

What we offer:

Work Hard, Stay Balanced (Life’s a series of balancing acts, eh?)

  • Industry-leading medical, dental, and vision health care plans for employees and their dependents

  • Rejuvenation Policy – Flexible Vacation Time Off + 11 holidays + holiday company shutdown

  • New Parent Leave for employees with a newborn child or a child placed with them for adoption or foster care

  • Mental health support

  • Paid sabbatical after 5 years for Nerds to recharge, gain knowledge, and pursue their interests

  • Health and Dependent Care FSA and HSA Plan with monthly NerdWallet contribution

  • Monthly Wellness Stipend, Cell Phone Stipend, and Wifi Stipend (Only remote Nerds are eligible for the Wifi Stipend)

  • Work from home equipment stipend and co-working space subsidy (Only remote Nerds are eligible for these stipends)

  • Nerd-led group initiatives – Employee Resource Groups for Parents, Diversity, and Inclusion, Women, LGBTQIA, and other communities

  • Hackathons and team events across all teams and departments

  • Company-wide events like NerdLove (employee appreciation) and our annual Charity Auction

Plan for your future (And when you retire on your island, remember the little people)

  • 401K with 4% company match

  • Be the first to test and benefit from our new financial products and tools

  • Financial wellness, guidance, and unlimited access to a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) through Northstar

  • Disability and Life Insurance with employer-paid premiums
