The Opportunity
The Sales Director - Stable Value Intermediary Markets - is responsible for delivering new business sales, existing business retention, and overall relationship management for an assigned block of Intermediaries. The Intermediary distribution channel is the largest segment of MetLife's Stable Value business and contributes the most to sales, assets and earnings for the business. This is an exciting opportunity to develop relationships with asset management firms to drive significant levels of new business with MetLife while also working on opportunities to expand Stable Value into new markets such as Target Date Funds. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with internal business partners such as underwriting, product management, marketing, legal and operations to develop solutions to meet client needs and market demand.

The expected salary range for this position is $100,000 - $110,000. This role may also be eligible for incentive compensation under the sales plan for the position. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.

Key Responsibilities
- Delivering new business sales and increase share of wallet with assigned Intermediaries
- Retain existing in-force business
- Manage the overall relationship with assigned Intermediaries and coordinate ongoing service efforts to meet client needs
- Develop client specific strategic plans to profile each client and determine how best to maximize the relationship.
- Work with clients and internal business partners to develop new solutions that meet client needs and help grow the utilization of Stable Value in new ways
Required Qualifications
- 7-10 years of relevant professional experience, including knowledge of the retirement plan market
- Strong organizational, time management, and resource allocation skills
- Excellent communication, influence, and negotiation abilities
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective client and stakeholder relationships
- Holds applicable state insurance licenses and FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.
- Stable Value experience is strongly preferred
