Semios is looking for a Sales Director, On Farm Solutions (OFS), to help grow sales of our products and build our brand and customer loyalty. In this pivotal role, the Director will be responsible for business development, sourcing new leads, onboarding and managing the OFS focused team of Territory Managers . Reporting directly to the GM - OFS, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Semios' market presence and growth success.
What you will do:
- Lead sales strategy and execution for all OFS clients.
- Develop market and competitive assessments to identify and drive new opportunities.
- Develop strategic relationships with industry (independent and corporate grower operations, ag retailers, dealers and distributors, etc.) key executive decision-makers.
- Create a plan to consistently deliver or exceed against assigned quota/targets.
- Manage, inspire, and motivate a client-facing and high-performing direct sales team ensuring sales processes are followed and team member skills are continuously developed.
- Manage the quote-to-cash process including the sales pipeline, proposal preparation, deal negotiations and closing.
- Assess the needs of our clients and gather feedback to improve upon existing products/services.
- Lead all data analysis related to OFS sales - extract and analyze data to investigate strategic business challenges or opportunities, identify issues and deliver data-focused recommendations.
- Ownership of OFS business-level reporting, defining and quantifying core business metrics.
- Driving new channel partnerships and nurturing strategic relationships.
- Research and define what channel and strategic partners are a fit for the company.
- Producing and delivering proposals and negotiating service agreements to close sales within a short span of time.
- Preparing and delivering presentations to clients and prospects with ease and addressing the prospective client’s needs in an efficient manner.
- Working with the sales team to identify and pursue upselling opportunities leveraging channel partner capabilities to penetrate further into existing customer organizations.
- Coordinating and planning with Marketing.
- Travel 50 % of the time in territory to current or prospective customer sites, company locations, or industry events, as per business needs.
We want you to succeed, so you will need:
- Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in sales, including at least 5 years in a sales management or leadership role with demonstrated success in leading high-performing teams and driving strategic sales initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field; MBA an asset
- Self-starter with a high level of initiative and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Ability to work in a high pressure, deadline driven environment.
- Excellent reputation across the agriculture industry and established relationships with clients
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and solid business judgment
- Strong understanding of performance, data, and measurement landscapes, with demonstrated experience using data and trends to develop winning strategies
- Strong focus on operational excellence by having introduced new performance measures, processes, and systems
- Demonstrated ability to achieve significant business growth
- Proven ability to apply strong business acumen and emotional intelligence to drive sales success and build lasting client relationships
- Willingness to travel as per business needs
Salary range: $140,000 to $170,000 per year + Bonus
Base pay will be commensurate with experience. Please note that the base pay offered may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and experience, geographic location, as well as business and organizational needs.
