What you will do:  

Reporting to the Head of Sales, the Sales Director, to lead our commercial efforts across the European market. This role will focus on driving adoption of Electra’s low-carbon iron among steel producers and expanding into specialist markets where sustainable materials are in high demand. The ideal candidate will bring deep industrial sales experience, strong market knowledge, and a passion for advancing clean technologies. 

Located Based in Europe, preferably Germany.


Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement a sales strategy targeting steel producers and specialist market segments
  • Drive revenue growth and market penetration for Electra’s low-carbon iron products
  • Manage sales forecasting, pipeline development, and performance tracking
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the steel industry and niche markets
  • Lead complex negotiations and close high-value deals
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory developments, and sustainability initiatives across Europe
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, and Operations teams to align sales efforts with customer needs
  • Provide market feedback to inform product development and strategic planning 
  • Represent Electra at industry events, conferences, and trade shows
  • Read, understand, and comply with all workplace health and safety policies, safe work practices, and company policies and procedures 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor 

What we need you to bring to the team:   

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or related  
  • 10+ years of progressive B2B sales experience, ideally within industrial, steel, or clean tech sectors 
  • Demonstrated success selling to steel producers and navigating complex, multi-stakeholder procurement cycles
  • Deep understanding of European market dynamics, sustainability regulations, and emerging trends in low-carbon materials
  • Proven ability to create and negotiate high-impact contracts, including industry-first agreements, in alignment with strategic goals 
  • Skilled in conducting joint customer meetings with senior colleagues to drive new business and strengthen existing relationships
  • Experience developing and maintaining a live CRM system to support sales operations and pipeline visibility
  • Fluent in English and German 
  • Strong leadership presence with a hands-on approach and able to lead by example as a working manager while driving new business and managing a personal book of accounts 
  • Committed to building a high-performance sales culture through regular communication, coaching, client visit observations, and team development
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Europe to engage with customers and partners

  • Advanced degree in business administration.  
  • Additional languages are a plus 
  • Experience working for a high-growth company 

Compensation:   

  • The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $150,000-$195,000 US Dollars and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education.
