Sales Development reps are responsible for developing highly qualified sales leads for the Areya Media sales team. The SDR will generate new business opportunities and create new relationships with Areya’s targeted B2B audience. You will identify and research lists of prospective organizations, develop effective email/telephone campaigns, and generate a qualified pipeline for our business.

The Sales Development Rep has the following responsibilities and duties.

  • Prospect, uncover and develop new opportunities from outbound activities such as cold calling and email campaigns
  • Build a strong pipeline of sales opportunities for the Areya Media sales team to deliver on sales targets
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual qualified sales opportunities targets
  • Successfully manage, document, and overcome prospect objections
  • Capture all relevant customer information and sales activities completely into our CRM (HubSpot) in order to advance the sales cycle
  • Become a trusted resource and develop superior relationships with prospects
  • Work with inventory management and AdOps teams to develop media plans for client campaigns

The Sales Development Rep should have the following:

  • Dynamic, high-energy sales professional with 3 - 5 years of successful experience in a sales development role within an intense, fast-paced, goal-oriented environment. Ideally, in the music, entertainment, or cultural digital media industry.
  • Knowledge of Hip Hop culture, African culture, African music (Afrobeats, Amapiano, etc), and a grasp on the nuances in African diaspora cultures is a must.
  • Previous experience working in an outbound position.
  • Previous sales experience for any media company is a plus.
  • Exceptionally strong verbal and written communication skills, being comfortable communicating with C-suite/Director/VP level is a must
  • Good telephone presence, self-starter and results-driven personality
  • Excellent time management and prioritizing abilities.

Areya Media, Inc. offers the following compensation rate:

  • Rate: $5,500/month
