FLSA: Full Time | Exempt | Salaried 

Reports to: Manager of Sales Development

Scope of Position: The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will be responsible for inside sales, lead generation, communication, sales, and business development. As an SDR, you will prospect, qualify, and generate opportunities to support the overall growth of the business in the US and select international markets. You'll be the first line of contact in generating new opportunities for the business and play a major role in the growth of our company.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to: 

  • Researching and identifying potential customers that fit the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) within the food industry; inbound and outbound prospecting. 
  • Building and maintaining a prospect database using CRM tools and other resources.
  • Initiating contact with prospects through cold calling, emails, social media, or other outreach methods.
  • Personalizing communication to resonate with individual prospects and their needs.
  • Leveraging scripts and frameworks to convey the company’s value proposition effectively.
  • You will be able to quickly research a company, identify opportunities, and strategize an approach to create interest for companies in the SMB, Mid-Market, and Enterprise space
  • Collaborating closely with Account Executives to develop strategies for target employers, prospects, and messaging/talk-tracks
  • Achieving specific metrics such as: number of calls/emails per day, appointments booked, qualified leads generated, and conversion rates.
  • Follow up with leads in a timely and effective manner; creating significant outbound activity via targeted cold-calling and emailing
  • Meet and Exceed Monthly quota to help the team hit our quarterly and yearly goals
  • You are a results-oriented individual who is excited by the prospect of adding to the continued growth and success of Trustwell
  • You are organized and can produce high value conversations with prospects in a large pool of suspects
  • Other duties as assigned and/or directed. 

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for engaging with prospects.
  • Ability to craft compelling outreach emails, messages, and presentations.
  • Proficiency in prioritizing tasks and managing multiple prospects simultaneously.
  • Prospecting experience selling software into new markets
  • Quickly determining whether a lead fits the company’s Ideal Customer Profile (ICP)
  • Understanding and addressing customer pain points to establish trust and rapport.
  • Solid knowledge of sales psychology and negotiation techniques.
  • Adjusting strategies based on feedback and results; Staying agile in different sales scenarios.
  • Experience utilizing technology to research and prospect effectively (ie. LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, SalesLoft)
  • Fearless and have a never give up attitude.
  • You are curious:  always looking for an opportunity to learn, grow, and give/receive feedback; desire to be in a software sales or other customer-facing positions as a career progression; have a verifiable track record of success and goal attainment
  • Working closely with marketing and sales teams to align on objectives and share insights.
  • Deadline and detail-oriented

Education/Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, management, or a related field; preferred. 
  • 1+ years of experience in a similar sales role; required.

  • The anticipated On-Target Earnings (OTE) for this role is upward of $80k+/annually. This includes base + variable. Subject to change based on company's variable compensation plan(s).
