CIQ OVERVIEW

CIQ builds the enterprise infrastructure that powers the world's most demanding workloads. From the operating system layer through AI infrastructure, high-performance computing, and cloud-native orchestration, CIQ delivers the speed, security, scalability, and sovereignty that major enterprises, government agencies, and research institutions depend on.

CIQ is the founding support and services partner of Rocky Linux and the developer of the RLC Pro family of Enterprise Linux distributions, Fuzzball workload orchestration, Warewulf Pro cluster provisioning, and Ascender Pro automation. Our customers include some of the largest and most technically sophisticated organizations in the world, working across HPC, AI/ML, defense, and regulated industries.

We are a company of builders, operators, and open source practitioners. If you want to do work that matters, at a company that is genuinely changing how enterprise infrastructure gets built and run, we want to talk.

POSITION SUMMARY

Must be located in India

CIQ is looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to qualify inbound interest, spark net-new conversations, and set the meetings that build pipeline for our sales organization. This is a launchpad role for someone who wants to grow into an Account Executive seat and is willing to out-work, out-learn, and out-curious the field to get there.

You’ll be the first human a prospect meets at CIQ. You’ll reach people who’ve engaged with our content or who fit our ideal customer profile - platform engineers, HPC and AI infrastructure leaders, and the executives who own their compute strategy - through calls, email, LinkedIn, and social. Your job is to understand what they’re trying to build, figure out where CIQ fits, and hand off a qualified, well-briefed opportunity to our Sales and Solutions Architect teams.

We sell technical infrastructure to a technical audience in a market that moves every quarter. You don’t need to be an engineer, but you do need to be genuinely curious about the technology, quick to learn, and comfortable being a little uncomfortable while you get up to speed. The best SDRs here treat learning the space as part of the job, not homework.

  • Follow up fast on a high volume of inbound leads by phone, email, and LinkedIn to move prospects further into CIQ’s sales process.
  • Run multi-channel outbound campaigns to net-new accounts - researched, personalized, and persistent - to generate qualified meetings and opportunities for the sales team.
  • Research accounts and contacts, build a point of view on their infrastructure challenges, and open conversations through sharp discovery calls and email sequences.
  • Use active listening to uncover real business problems - cost, vendor lock-in, security and compliance, AI/HPC performance - and connect them to how CIQ can help.
  • Learn CIQ’s products and the wider Linux, HPC, and AI infrastructure landscape well enough to hold a credible early conversation, and keep learning as the market shifts.
  • Consistently hit activity and outcome targets across calls, emails, LinkedIn touches, and meetings booked, in service of monthly and quarterly quotas.
  • Keep your pipeline clean and your data accurate in HubSpot and your sales engagement tooling; use AI and prospecting tools to work smarter, not just harder.
  • Collaborate closely with Account Executives, Solutions Architects, and Marketing to sharpen messaging, improve handoffs, and drive deals forward.

NEEDED TO SUCCEED

Successful candidates will have:

  • Highly motivated and resilient - you set your own pace, chase the goal, and bounce back quickly from a “no.”
  • Curious about technology and eager to learn - you find it interesting (not intimidating) to figure out what CIQ builds and why it matters.
  • Adaptable - comfortable with change, new tools, and shifting priorities in an evolving tech and product landscape.
  • A strong communicator - clear, confident, and human on the phone, over email, and on LinkedIn.
  • Organized and self-directed - excellent time management, attention to detail, and the discipline to follow a process.
  • A great teammate - friendly, humble, honest, collaborative, and always striving to be better -  who can thrive independently in a remote team.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience as an SDR/BDR or in a comparable role.
  • Nice to have: prior sales, customer-facing, or startup experience; exposure to HubSpot or a sales engagement platform; interest in Linux, open source, cloud, HPC, or AI infrastructure. None of these are required if you bring the drive and the ability to learn

BENEFITS

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.

  • Flexible paid time off.

  • Employee stock options.

  • Remote work; no travel required for most positions.
