Optavise is hiring a Sales Conservation Specialist to play a key role in conserving cancelled business from several reporting factors. This role will primarily provide a proactive effort to work directly with employer groups and policyholders to save business before it cancels as well as work with internal partners to develop outreach communications and programs designed to maintain customers.

As a Sales Conservation Specialist, your responsibilities will include: 

  • Daily interaction with employer groups, policyholders, agents and field leaders to conserve business and resolve issues tied to business that otherwise would fall off and cancel.
  • Working with internal agency leadership as well as senior field leadership to inform on persistency trends, cancel at issue and funding failures by sales teams and geographic region utilizing reporting and resulting findings on a regular basis and develop solutions to resolve.
  • Developing communication for field sales agents to promote importance of persistency factors as well as communication specific to customers holding return of premium policies stressing the value of coverage and important of continuing their relationship with Optavise.
  • Collaborating with internal partners to ensure that business retention and conservation factors are built into the bonus and awards programs offered to field sales agents.
  • Working with our external TPA (third party administrator) partners to effectively manage loss of business due to payment and processing issues.
  • Working closely with Compliance Manager as orphaned I-plans are tracked and reported and develop process to retain policyholders.

The Sales Conservation Specialist position is well-suited for you if you:

  • Continuously strive for process improvement.
  • Possess excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products

What you’ll need: 

  • Associate’s degree or four years of related work experience as equivalent
  • Two years of experience working in sales and/or the insurance industry

What will set you apart: 

  • Insurance license
  • Willingness to work in Eastern/Central time zone

This position is considered a hybrid position, requiring the associates to live within a 60-mile radius of our corporate office Carmel, IN office will have access to come in on a hybrid model and will be required to come onsite from time to time. Compensation

Pay Range: $18.89 - $28.33 Hourly
