Job Description SummaryThe Sr. Sales Manager role for GE Vernova’s Power & Energy Resources Software Commercial Team (PERS) is responsible for sales of our reliability and performance solutions in the Power Generation, Oil & Gas, and Mining sectors to ensure attainment of revenue and growth targets in Latin America (South America to Mexico). In this Sales position, the Sr. Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying sales opportunities within existing and new accounts, drive prospecting, lead strategy and key account planning, executive relationship development and discovery assessments. This role will require a motivated achiever and self-starter whose interests align with teaming with experts on staff to help maximize customer engagement, rapidly assess qualification of fit, and helping our solution to support the future of energy with regards to safety, reliability, and production.

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Meet / Exceed targets per month, quarter, year by building, maintaining and converting required sales pipeline for LATAM.
  • Learn and follow existing sales processes to articulate specific sales strategies.
  • Conduct Direct to Customer and GEV BU prospecting activities and research. Gain access to new logo business prospects. Find and stimulate client pains to buying activity. This includes customers with and without Long-Term Service agreements with GE Vernova’s Gas Power business.
  • Pick the right opportunities to work and qualify/prioritize the opportunity in line with GE Vernova strategy.
  • Responsible for earning customer trust through value driven engagements and solid execution – establish win/win partnerships and deepen relationships.
  • Professionally differentiate our solutions from the competition at the right time in the process.
  • Succeed in partnering with organizations internal and external to GE Vernova.
  • Formulate the winning proposals with commercial operations and leadership based on a cohesive strategy that leverages industry knowledge, discovery content, and GE Vernova products.
  • Complete and maintain Key Account Plans and Opportunity records across territory.
  • Ensure a professional sales experience for customers during all aspects of sales process including formal meeting agendas, written and prompt meeting follow ups of next steps, and as necessary, issue resolution in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain accuracy of all information pertaining to opportunities/contacts/clients in the SFDC CRM system.
  • Expectation is to be able to travel to customer locations up to 50% of the time to fulfill duties.
  • Reports to Americas Commercial Leader, a part of the global PERS commercial team that includes Solution Architects, Partner Alliance Managers, Sales Operations, Industry Principals, and other Account Executives and Sr Sales Managers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Work From Home within Rio de Janeiro or other major cities in Brazil.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, STEM or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Substantive level of experience required in consulting, customer facing roles.
  • Fluency in verbal and written English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Masters/Graduate Degree preferred.
  • Passion for the environment and clear thoughts on how you can contribute to the energy transition.
  • Proven track record of sales success. Enterprise account management a plus.
  • Asset Intensive industry knowledge a plus.
  • Power Generation, Downstream Oil & Gas and/or Metals/Mining industry experience.
  • Understanding of the country and market dynamics pertaining to these verticals for Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and Peru.
  • High energy, participatory style.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including creativity and curiosity with ability to effectively communicate and influence across multiple organizational levels.
  • Fast learner willing to learn the complete GE Vernova portfolio and offerings.
  • Demonstrated fit for our GE Vernova principles: Innovation, Customers, Lean, One Team, Accountability – with strong personal integrity and professional standards.
  • Demonstrated examples of high urgency: Identify and prioritizing the right activities all the time.
