Lead roadway design and planning for highway and local road projects, manage project budgets and schedules, perform quality reviews, mentor junior staff, prepare proposals, and maintain client relationships while ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
Engineering firm is seeking a Roadway Engineer/Project Manager for their Raleigh office!
Responsibilities:
- Design and plan preparation for both highway
and local road projects
- Ensure
that plans meet the highest technical standards through internal quality
reviews
- Mentor/train
junior staff
- Assist
in preparing and negotiating project fee proposals
- Prepare
design schedules, construction cost estimates, and deliver staged project
submittals on time and within budget
- Build/maintain
client relationships
- Assist
with contract negotiations when necessary
- Collaborate
with other teams/staff to successfully execute transportation projects
Requirements:
- BS in
Engineering from an ABET-accredited College or University
- PE
License in North Carolina
- Proficient
in the design, preparation, and delivery of roadway design plans
- NCDOT
design experience preferred
- Familiar
with AASHTO, FHWA, and NCDOT standards
- Experience
with MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, and AutoCAD
- Prior
experience managing projects (developing proposals and overseeing project
timelines and budgets)
Salary is
commensurate with experience.
