Registered Nurse (RN) – Atrium Health Mercy PreSurgery Holding 

Charlotte, NC, United States  

Where You Will Work: 

The PreSurgery unit features 27 beds and prepares patients for various surgeries, including orthopedic, spine, bariatric, general, and vascular procedures. The main duties involve assessing and admitting patients before surgery, which includes inserting IVs, giving preoperative medications, preparing surgical sites, maintaining accurate documentation, educating patients and families, following established policies, and working closely with the healthcare team. We seek candidates with strong interpersonal abilities, clinical assessment expertise, and critical thinking skills. Some shifts will require being on call.

  

We’re Looking For: 

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing 
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

  • As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.  
  • Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
