As a Credit Portfolio Insights and Analytics - Vice President within the Credit Analytics team, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting insights reporting, advanced data analysis, and credit risk monitoring over a large commercial loans portfolio. This high-visibility position involves direct interaction with C-suite executives (CROs) and senior stakeholders, requiring a blend of strong analytics expertise, risk management knowledge, and excellent communication skills to explain insights from complex analyses with senior audiences. You'll drive strategic initiatives by providing actionable insights and analysis in helping manage commercial lending portfolios.
Job Responsibilities
• Execute a comprehensive analytics strategy to enhance the organization's risk management reporting and analysis capabilities, prioritizing business intelligence and deep-dive analysis.• Analyze granular credit data to uncover and communicate key findings to Chief Risk Officers and their teams, providing continuous visibility into client selection, portfolio health, and underlying drivers of credit risks affecting middle market companies and commercial real estate investors.• Design and manage high-quality data analysis and reporting processes that meet internal and regulatory expectations for executive management decision making.• Drive to completion ad-hoc analysis requests from key leaders and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.• Serve as subject matter expert for reporting processes and data products, engaging across Risk, Finance, Product, and Technology to deliver on your team's key objectives.• Actively engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable analytics projects, ensuring efforts meet business objectives.• Promote innovation and technology adoption within the team by staying abreast of emerging analytics trends and tools, and driving their integration into existing processes.• Groom and train junior staff with a focus on deepening analytical expertise and promoting team innovation and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Business Management, or a related field.• Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis, insights reporting, and business intelligence within the financial services industry. • Expertise in advanced analytics combining complex data sets from various sources, including having proficiency in SQL, Alteryx, Python or R scripting, and LLM.• Experience using business intelligence and data visualization tools such as QlikSense and Tableau.• Strong relationship management ability and excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders.• Strong analytical and project management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities, including handling ambiguous and open-ended problems.• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to support executive ad-hoc requests promptly.• Advanced proficiency in technical skills, with a focus on continuous learning and application of new technologies to enhance analytics capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and skills
• Experience in management consulting and credit risk is preferred.
