As a Risk Management - Business Analysis Associate within the Risk Management and Compliance team, you will be at the center of keeping JPMorgan Chase strong and resilient. You will help the firm grow its business in a responsible way by anticipating new and emerging risks, and using your expert judgement to solve real-world challenges that impact our company, customers and communities. You will be part of the Model Risk Governance and Review (MRGR), a global team of modeling experts within the firm's Risk Management and Compliance organization. The team is responsible for conducting independent model validation and model governance activities to help identify, measure, and mitigate Model Risk in the firm. The objective is to ensure that models are fit for purpose, used appropriately within the business context for which have been approved, and that model users are aware of the model limitations and how they could impact business decisions.
Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with managing the firm's Model Risk Appetite
  • Collaborate with MRGR coverage teams and senior leaders to prepare time-sensitive reporting for Board and Senior Management committees
  • Monitor performance of model risk metrics and analyze key themes and concentrations
  • Develop and maintain processes that facilitate model governance and review activities
  • Project manage initiatives that promote process efficiencies or that are regulatory driven
  • Guide innovation in model governance tools, systems, and practices
  • Gather business requirements and work with the technology team to deploy new metrics, system enhancements and dashboards
  • Provide support and training to key stakeholders, including MRGR coverage teams, Quantitative Research and other Risk/Control functions


Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • 2+ years of full-time work experience in Risk Management or Finance
  • A Bachelor's or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
  • Willing to interface with Senior Management and other functional areas in the firm to drive strategic projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise deliverables for internal and external stakeholders, including regulators
  • Intellectually curious with a proven ability to learn quickly and build strong partnerships
  • Self-motivated, organized and strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint


Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Prior experience in Model Risk Management or Financial Reporting is preferred
  • Experience in analyzing large datasets and preparing committee presentations
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik, etc.
