What You'll Do
- Analyzes, defines and documents detailed process workflows through user interviews, facilitated workshops and subject matter expert engagement.
- Creates a clear understanding of the core accountabilities within the process. Ensures the focus of activity is concentrated on the highest priority needs of the business.
- Organizes the research for and development of specialized risk assessment scopes.
- Collaborates with management and personnel to optimize risk assessment and scope development.
- Identifies potential business risks, operational and regulatory process deficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Gathers and synthesizes data; presents conclusions and offers risk mitigation, remediation, and process improvement solutions to management.
- Makes recommendations for additional controls and corrective action to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations and risk mitigation processes.
- Assists in preparing and presenting to management and/or affected business unit(s) on summaries, operational and regulatory risk assessment reports, trends, and remedial or mitigation solutions.
- Gathers information and provides fact-based findings and recommendations. Escalates issues identified during review and analysis to stakeholders.
- Establishes a network of subject matter experts that provide the detail and context for existing processes, and/or stakeholders that may influence others to help support or drive improvements and to mitigate risks.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of experience in the Financial Services Industry, preferably in a Mortgage Loan Servicing environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Mortgage servicing or mortgage lending experience preferred
- Working knowledge of operational and regulatory risk controls, concepts and practices
- Ability to plan, organize and effectively execute risk mitigation and process improvement initiatives
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within and between departments
- Strong client service skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated; self-starter
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond quickly to emergent problems
This is a remote job opportunity.
Pay Range: $62,700 - $83,575 annually
This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
