About the RoleThe RF Engineer I will be responsible for designing and developing RF systems and components for space-based applications, including antennas, transmitters, receivers, and RF amplifiers. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals with a basic understanding of electrical circuits and components, as well as electrical design tools and equipment. The successful candidate will work under the guidance and mentorship of more experienced engineers, gaining valuable hands-on experience in RF engineering. This role requires a willingness to learn, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions accurately. The RF Engineer I will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development and testing of RF systems, ensuring they meet performance and reliability requirements.
In this role, you will assist in the design and development of RF systems and components for space-based applications, supporting the testing and validation of RF systems, including antennas, transmitters, receivers, and RF amplifiers. You will utilize electrical design tools and equipment to perform basic design tasks and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and integration. Following instructions and guidance from more experienced engineers, you will prepare and maintain technical documentation and reports to ensure traceability and compliance with project requirements. Additionally, you will stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in RF engineering, applying new knowledge to enhance your contributions and drive innovation in ongoing projects.
This role is expected to start full time in one of our Colorado office locations by December 2026.About You

Minimum Qualifications:

• Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree).
• Typically entry-level 0 - 2+ years of experience.
• Basic understanding of electrical circuits and components.
• Basic understanding of electrical design tools and equipment.
• Basic understanding of electrical design tasks.
• Ability to learn, receive instruction and mentorship from more experienced engineers.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with RF design and simulation tools such as ADS, HFSS, or CST.
• Basic knowledge of RF measurement equipment, including network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
• Understanding of RF system performance parameters such as gain, noise figure, and linearity.
• Experience with PCB design and layout tools such as Altium Designer or OrCAD.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges in RF engineering.

Compensation:

Pay Range:

$77,403.00 - $106,450.50

Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.
