Your Role: 

We are seeking a Revenue Accountant to join our Finance team. This role will be responsible for customer invoicing, revenue recognition, and accounts receivable management. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting background, attention to detail, and experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments. This is a hands-on role with exposure to cross-functional teams, including Sales, Customer Success, and Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A).

Things You Get To Do:

  • Own multi-entity invoicing process; prepare and issue accurate customer invoices in line with contract terms 
  • Manage accounts receivable, including monitoring collections, applying payments, and resolving customer billing inquiries.
  • Ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 and company policies.
  • Review and reconcile deferred revenue accounts and maintain supporting schedules.
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success teams to review contracts and ensure billing and revenue treatment are compliant.
  • Assist in month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and revenue reporting.
  • Support external audits by preparing revenue-related schedules and documentation.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline invoicing, revenue, and AR workflows.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and system implementations as needed.

Who You Are (Must-Haves):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience, ideally in financial services
  • Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, specifically ASC 606 revenue recognition.
  • Ability to obtain FINRA Series 27 after hire
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills; experience with Sage Intacct is a plus
  • Experience with billing, collections, and revenue management systems is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Must possess the ability to adapt to a changing business and regulatory environment
