The Retention Marketing Manager will drive Email & SMS campaigns for customer retention and loyalty on Shopify, optimizing performance and reporting KPIs.
We are seeking a Retention Marketing Manager who will be responsible for developing Email & SMS campaigns that drive acquisition, retention, personalization, loyalty, and long-term relationships for fast growing brands on Shopify.

Responsibilities:
- Own Email & SMS/MMS campaign calendar planning & workflow for eComm clients
- Curate campaign context, content and call-to-actions by putting together briefs for the creative & copy teams to design into.
- Review these Email & SMS designs and provide teams with feedback based on best practices, engagement data and testing responses.
- Responsible for compiling, scheduling & sending all campaigns, flows & transactional emails directly in Klaviyo.
- Collaborate with performance marketing teams including eCommerce, Paid Media, Retail, & B2M to develop CRM strategies that align with client goals.
- Monitor campaign, flow and transactional Email/SMS performance and use data-driven insights to optimize future campaigns.
- Innovate, design, test and execute subscriber growth campaigns across all digital touch points (paid and unpaid) in order to drive a healthy acquisition strategy
- Ideate loyalty and retention touch-points and/or programs to enhance customer LTV for an omni-channel experience
- Create regular reports (weekly, monthly, annually) and dashboards to track KPIs related to engagement and conversion of all email & sms campaigns.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years proven experience in CRM management, marketing automation, Email/SMS or a related role within a D2C omni-channel vertical.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or related field
- Candidate must have a proven track record in digital project management and ability to engage and manage needs from senior stakeholders
- Strong organization and presentation skills for briefing creative teams with a particular aptitude for synthesizing complex material so that it is clear, meaningful and actionable to a variety of stakeholders
- Proficiency in using CRM software (ideally Klaviyo) and other performance marketing automation tools.
- Solid understanding and experience in personalization (CRM) and segmentation marketing
- Aptitude to thrive in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
